About Trip

Ganesh himal Trekking  is to the west of Langtang Himal and east of Manasulu range. It stretches between the two rivers Trisuli and Budhigandaki. The Ganesh Himal trekking area  lies on the central eastern region of Nepal. You are still lucky to remain untouched by modern world.You will trek in contact with local people, unspoiled nature, widely cultural and traditions barrier, massive mountain close enough to touch. Getting at the height of 4100m pass leaving the clouds under you and greeting the massive mountains over 8000m, would not that be amazing. Ganesh Himal is beautiful mountains can be seen even from the Kathmandu Valley.

We strat trek with the greet of The first glimpse of Ganesh Himal.  When we go crossing over the hills and leave Kathmandu behind. After 5 hours bus ride we arrive at the trek starting point called Sole Bazaar (town). This is  where we spend the first night of our outdoor adventure right nearby the river. As Our Guide gives a short lesson of trekking on the first night. He will explain about the altitude sickness and all the beautiful spots from where you can see an excellent view of mountains.

You may visit base camp of the Ganesh Himal where there are two lakes – Black and white. Twin waterfalls – ganga and Jamuna, bring joy to your heart. This trek is recommended by many trekkers though it is not as popular as Annapurna and Everest.
Observe the different ways of inhabitation, and come in contact with different people following various caste, creed and culture, and there by pass through the dense forest and meadows, crossing through high highlander pass (4100m), which offers an excellent view of the massif Ganesh Himal (7406m), Langtang (7300m), Annapurna (8091m), fishtail(6990m), manaslu (8163m), Lamjung (6800m) and many more are the day to day activities of the trek.

Ganesh Himal

The Ganesh Himal is named after the elephant-headed God of Good Fortune. The Ganesh Range Peaks (Ganesh I, Ganesh II, Ganesh III, Ganesh IV) stand out like crystal that is the “Great Himalayan Chain” forming the skyline. This great Himalayan massif is contained between the valley of the Buri Gandaki in the west and Bhote Koshi in the east, which becomes Trishuli River in the lower section. It elevation is 7,422 m (24,350 ft).

Our team member will be waiting outside the airport terminal a few meters from the exit door. Please check your name at Show card. He will bring you to hotel in Kathmandu. The drive from the airport to the hotel is around 20 minutes. After refreshment, we will brief your plan more visibly.

  • Kathmandu (1360m)Population: -counted nationwide in AD. 2011, Kathmandu had households: 434344 & population: 1744240.Major Place to see: -BodhnathStupa, Pashupatinath, syombhunath, Kathmandu durbar square, patandurbar square, Bhaktapur durbar square etc.In the morning we explore Kathmandu on an organized sightseeing tour Guide then Prepare for trekking.
  • Day 03 : Kathmandu- Pairebeshi (900m)
    It is 6-7 hours scenery drive to Pairebeshi. Pairebeshi is a small village where you could see the mixed culture.
  • Day 04: Pairebeshi trek to Kispang (1945m)
  • It is steep up walking for about 6 hrs to 5-6 hrs trekking to Kispang through small villages. It is a small village for Tamang people. Most of the people in this area are depending on farm.
  • Kispang trek to Bhalche (2030m) acclimate
  • It is four hour of gradual up walk through rainy forest. Camp in the forest. a
  • Bhalche trek to Gonga (2800m)
  • It is steep up walk for about 4 hrs through Rhododendron forest. If you are lucky you could see some wild animal and from Gonga you could see nice Mountain View.
  • Gonga-Rupchet (3630m)
  • It is also steep up walk for about 4 hours through forest. You are going to camp in Alpine area where you could only get bushes. You could have nice view of mountain from here as well.
  • Rupchet rest day.
  • Rupchet trek to Singla which is above 4120m and trek down to Kharka (2500m)
  • It is steep up for about 2 hours to Singla top. From Singla top you could have great view of Mt. Ganesh himal, Langtang, Manaslu etc. After Singla top you will trek down to Rupchet again and from here it is steep down for about 6 hours to Kharka.
  • Kharka- Pang sang la (3850m)
  • It’s up hill and ridge walk to pang sang la.
  • Pang sang la trek to Somdang (3200m)
  • Enjoy full day of great Mountain View while you are walking from Pang sang la trek to Somdang which is small tamang village.
  • Somdang trek to Gatlang (2225m)
  • It is 6-7 hours level moderate walk to Gatlang. Gatlang is a big tamang village which is popular for tamang heritage trails.
  • Gatlang trek to Syabrueshi (1620m)
  • You walk through the villages and terraces to Syaubrueshi 6-7 hours. On the way you will see mixed culture and mount view as well.
  • Syabrubeshi drive back to Kathmandu (10-11 hrs)
  • Free day in Kathmandu
