There are three major Buddhist Pilgrimage site. Among them Namo Buddha is also one of the pilgrimage sites of Nepal beside Swayambunath and Boudha. Namo Buddha is most important religious site of Nepal from the Buddhist point of view. It lies in Kavre district. This sacred place is in the southeast of the valley. It is a small village. In this place, Buddha gave his muscle of the body to the starving tiger which was going to die of hungriness’. There is a old temple of Buddha prince.
Geography and Climate
Namobuddha is 40kilometer away from the Kathmandu valley. Namobuddha is out of the way place and pleasant area. It is a place with no pollution. This place is very peace and beautiful full of nature along on the hill. The Natural air of Namobuddha is so pure and healthy with no pollution. We can see there a beautiful sunrise in the morning and sunset in the evening. Beautiful sightseeing like mountain full of snow can be watch from this site.
It has normally four types of season i.e. summer season, spring season, autumn season and rainy season. We can visit Namobuddha in every season and anytime. This place is applicable for every season and weather.
How to Reach Namobuddha?
Namobuddha is in southeast of Kathmandu valley. It takes around 3 hours to 4 hours to reach Namobuddha through local bus. There are several substation of local bus which takes time to reach. Daily buses are providing to reach there. You also can hire taxi from Kathmandu. It also costs high. You can hire a jeep or anything as you wish.

Namobuddha Monastery
Namobuddha Monastery is a beautiful monastery build with architecture and laced with beautiful paintings denoted to Lord Buddha. It is a serene place with a good view. It is located in Namo Buddha. This place is not applicable to public buses. Local bus or bike is adventurous short tour to Namobuddha Monastery. This place cannot make you dissatisfy. It is a place with beautiful view. The view gives us the sense of feeling being free and peace with relaxation. It is one of the Nepal’s holiest place and pilgrimage site.
Siddha Pokhari
Siddha Pokhari is located in Bhaktapur. It takes around 1 hour to ½ hour to reach Siddha Pokhari from Namobuddha. Siddha Pokhari is a pond locates in this area. It was constructing in 15th century. It is a human made pond. This pond is about 3m deep 171m long when build. It is a major attraction place and best hangout place for youngsters. It is beautiful and peace giving place for all.
