Starting our wonderful journey with an exciting overland drive from Kathmandu to enter beautiful Langtang National Park area around Rasuwa district of Central Himalaya, walk begins after overnight stop in a nice Tamang village at Syabrubesi, and then heading towards higher elevation into a river gorge with dense green forest to reach at Langtang village, a moderate size lovely village of Tamang and Bhotia’s people interwoven of Buddhist religion with similar culture of Tibetan origin. Then we pass though Gosainkunda pass and reach to the Divine Gosainkunda Lake situated at the altitude of (4380m). It is considered as holy by both Hindus and Buddhists alike and many Hindus make the belivers to rinse in the lakes during the August full moon festival of Janai Purnima .With other glorious lakes situated around it, the views of these lakes at sunrise and sunset are mind blowing. Having savored the views, we incline to the adventure pass Lauri Binayak (4610 m). Then the trail continues and leads to the Helambu valley, make almost a circle going through Ghopte, Kutumsang, Chisapani and we finally reach at Sundarijal and drive back to Kathmandu.

Langtang Region Adventure is possible in all seasons throughout the year, autumn and spring are most famous among them. The Budget Langtang Trek can be completed by all the avid trekkers with stable health in comparatively low cost.

Day 1
Arrival to TIA airport. Pick up from there then check in to hotel in Kathmandu Upon arrival in Kathmandu.

Our team member will be waiting outside the airport terminal a few meters from the exit door. Please check your name at Showcard. He will bring you to hotel in Kathmandu. The drive from the airport to the hotel is around 20 minutes.After refreshment, we will brief your plan more visibly

Day 2
Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubeshi (1,450 m/4,757 ft.) 7-8 hrs.

Our first day of trip starts with an early drive to our trek starting point at Syabrubeshi. Syabrubeshi is also known as gateway to Langtang region trek. The road takes us via north-west part of Kathmandu valley following beautiful scenery and traditional village along the route. En-route we would able to witness the superb panorama of the Himalayas, including the Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal and Langtang ranges. After having quick lunch at Trishuli or Kalikasthan we move further towards the traditional village of Syabrubeshi. Overnight stay at teahouse in Syabrubeshi.

Day 3
Trek from Syabrubeshi to Gatlang (2,320 m/7,612ft.) 5-6 hrs.

Today is the first ever walk in the land of Langtang region. Our walk begins after having breakfast at teahouse. Trekking through the green fields our trial leads us towards the fascinating view point Bahun Danda Pass from where we can witness the lovely traditional village of Gatlang. Afterwards, we trek through the different ancient Buddhist monasteries, chortens, mani walls to get into the Goljung valley where we enjoy our lunch. Enjoying the views of Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung and mighty of peaks we reach to Gatlang village. Gatlang is a picturesque village set on a hillside where houses have wooden and stones shutters with art, colorful Tibetan decorations. Overnight stay at teahouse in Gatlang village.

Day 4
Trek from Gatlang to Tatopani (2,607 m/8553 ft.) 5-6 hrs.

After having breakfast at teahouse our day begins with a steep descend to Thangbuche near Chilime village. Then we visit the Chilime Hydropower dam and ascend up to cross the suspension bridge over Chilime River. After having lunch at Cherka we slowly move upwards towards the Gonggang village. Enjoying the outstanding views of the Langtang ranges and Ganesh Himal, we reach to Tatopani village. Tatopani literally means hot spring and local beliefs that the water has a healing quality that eases away your aches and pains after long walk. Overnight stay at teahouse at Tatopani.

Day 5
Trek from Tatopani to Nagthali Danda (3,165 m/10,384 ft.) 5-6 hrs.

After having breakfast at teahouse our day begins passing through the alpine forest as well Brimdang village which is beautiful Tamnag settlement with traditional and charming houses. Then we trek continue ascend uphill until we reach the Nagthali danda. It is the popular view point at the height of 3,165 m offering a panoramic view of Mt. Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Paldor peak and mighty of peaks. It is also popular meditation center for the local monks and priests. We enjoy our late lunch at Nagthali Danda. Overnight stay at teahouse in Nagthali Danda.

Day 6
Trek from Nagthali Danda to Briddim (2,239 m/7,346 ft.) 6-7 hrs.

After having our morning breakfast, we continue our trek passing through beautiful landscape along with the spectacular views of mountains all the way to beautiful Thuman village. Then our trial passes through rhododendron forest and followng Bhote Koshi River and move uphill towards Dalphedi village. Then we trek upwards to Timure village which is an ancient trade route to Tibet. It is a historical reminder of Nepal-Tibet relation that has existed for many centuries. After enjoying lunch at Timure, we continue our walk through different mani walls and descends steeply towards the valley of waterfalls and towards Lingling village. Our walk continues towards the beautiful Tamang village of Briddim. Briddim is a Tibetan influenced Tamang community, ideally located in the lap of Langtang Lirung. At Briddim you will experience the warm cultural hospitality at the homestay. Overnight stay at community homestay at Briddim.

Day 7
Trek from Briddim to Lama Hotel (2,480m/8,136 ft.) 5-6 hrs.

Today we enjoy the breakfast at homestay where we experience real taste of local Nepalese cuisines. We start our day with a steep descends through pine forest towards the Ghopche Khola. Then we cross the bridge over Langtang khola and ascend on a steep trial towards the Rimche village. After having lunch our trial lead us towards the Lama Hotel. En-route to Lama Hotel if you are lucky enough you might see the abundant wildlife such as Red Panda, Himalayan black bear, Snow leopard etc. Overnight stay at Lama Hotel.

Day 8
Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3,541m/11,617 ft.) 6-7 hrs.

Today we continue our day after having breakfast at Lama Hotel. Our trek continues ascending from Lama Hotel enjoying the mountain land along with the natural beauty of Langtang region. Then we reach the green meadows of Ghore Tabela. After having lunch here we beings our trek to see the first occasional sights of pure white Mt. Langtang Lirung and its ranges. Our trail continues to climb up the widening valley, passing a few temporary settlements of Tamang, old Buddhist monasteries to reach the beautiful Langtang village- headquarter of the Langtang National Park. Overnight at teahouse in Langtang village.

Day 9
Trek from Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa (3,900m/12,795 ft.) 5-6 hrs.

After breakfast, we will start our journey following the gradual uphill trial through small villages and yak meadows. Then we trek through typical village of Mundu and Singdum along the way. Then we will be walking along with numerous Yaks grazing lands, small streams and rubble, water mills, prayer flags, chortens, with sacred mounds of rocks with inscriptions carved on them. We also pass by the largest mani wall in Nepal, made from stone with prayers mantras written on them.Kyanjin Gompa is an oldest Buddhist monastery of the Langtang valley Overnight stay at teahouse in Kyanjin Gompa.

Day 10
Hike to Tserko RI (5,184 m/17,008 ft.) & back to Kyanjin Gompa (acclimatization day) 4-5 hrs.

Today is one of the major day in Langtang circuit trekking. After a late breakfast, we will climb over Tserko RI for the spectacular 360 panoramic view of Langtang ranges along with other mighty of peaks. The trial to Tserko RI is long and difficult however reaching at the top is rewarded with the wonder of nature where will forgot all tiredness and difficulties. Then we back to Kyanjin Gompa by late afternoon and explore the beautiful Buddhist monasteries around there. We also visit a traditional yak cheese factory, where yak cheeses are manufactured by hand. Overnight stay at teahouse in Kyanjin Gompa.

Day 11
Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2,480m/8,136 ft.) 6-7 hrs.

Our day begins with the breakfast at teahouse before starting descending towards the Lama Hotel. We follow the same trial that we have trek already since there is no other route to Lama Hotel. Most of our day descends downhill passing through Rhododendron and oak forests as well charming mountain villages. Enjoying the spectacular views of Himalayas we slowly back to Lama Hotel. Lama Hotel is situated alongside of Langtang River where we will spend our night hearing the sound of thundering river. Overnight stay at Lama Hotel.

Day 12
Trek from Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru (2,230 m/7,316 ft.) 5-6 hrs.

After having breakfast at Lama Hotel, we begin our trek with a steep climb towards Rimche village.Then we descend to the bank of Langtang Khola and easy walk towards Bamboo village. Giving continuity to our trek, we will be at front of two trials which separates the way to Syabrubeshi and Thulo Syabru village. From here we continue our trek crossing the beautiful lush green forest, suspension bridges, waterfalls to reach Pahare hotel. After enjoying our lunch we slowly trek enjoying the magnificent view of Ganesh Himal until we reach Thuylo Syabru village. It is a pretty village with minimal facilities of telephones, internet and nice lodges. Overnight stay at teahouse in Thulo Syabru.

Day 13
Trek from Thulo Syabru to Sing Gompa/Chandanbari (3,330 m/10,925 ft.) 5-6 hrs.

Our day begins after having breakfast at teahouse. Our trial starts ascending uphill leaving Thulo Syabru village. The trial from thulo Syabru to Forpang danda climbs over steadily slopes and we pass through Dursagang. The trial continues less steeply from here, mostly in forest to the top of the ridge at Foprang Danda where we enjoy our lunch. We will be passing through the checkpoint and continue towards traditional village of Garda, Phulung Ghyang, Chandanbari (oldest Yak cheese factory of Nepal) before we reach Sing Gompa. In evening you may excursion around the popular monastries of Sing Gompa. Overnight stay at teahouse in Sing Gompa.

Day 14
Trek from Sing Gompa to Gosainkunda (4,381 m/14,373 ft.) 5-6 hrs.

After having breakfast at teahouse we continue our walk slowly begins with the beautiful landscape and fantastic panoramic views of Himalayas including Langtang Lirung, Annapurna, Hiunchuli, & Ganesh Himal and so on. Then we slightly ascend uphill to reach Chlolang Pati and continue our walk to Lauribinayak. After having lunch our walk continues with an impressive view of Gosainkunda Lake. We then continue further via stone cliffs and tiny trial with occasional short downhill towards Goshainkunda Lake. Gosainkunda is one of the major pilgrimage and Holy Lake of both Hindus and Buddhist of Nepal. This lake is surrounded by mountains on almost all sides and has a great ensemble of nine other lakes besides it. Every year during Janai Purnima in the month of August, thousands of Hindus pilgrims visit Gosainkunda to take a holy bath. Overnight stay at teahouse in Gosainkunda.

Day 15
Trek from Gosainkunda to Ghopte (3,440 m/11,286 ft.) via Lauribina La pass (4,610 m/15,125 ft.) 6-8 hrs.

Today is the hardest and longest day of the entire trek because we are passing through the great adventurous pass of Lauribina La pass! After having breakfast we continue our trek with a short excursion around Gosainkunda Lake. Then we ascends towards the great adventurous pass Lauribina La pass (4,610 m) also known as Gosainkunda Pass. Then we slowly descend down towards Phedi. The Helambu regions begin from Phedi. After having lunch at Phedi we descend to the Melamchi valley. Then the rough trial takes us towards the small lake of Surya kunda before reaching Ghopte. Overnight stay at teahouse in Ghopte.

Day 16
Trek from Ghopte to Kutumsang (2,470 m/8,104 ft.) 6-7 hrs.

After having breakfast at teahouse, we continue our day descending towards the Mera Kharka. Our trial takes us through numerous uphill and downhill across the dense forest of pine and Rhododendron to reach Tharepati village. Tharepati is the village which separates the routes of longer Helambu valley trek. From here the two routes separates one towards the Melamchi Gaun and another towards Kutumsang; we follow the shorter trial of Helambu valley trekking. The trial descends through the beautiful landscape, Rhododendron forest and ridges towards the village of Mangengoth. After having lunch here, we gently descend towards the beautiful Tamang settlements until we reach the beautiful Kutumsang village. Overnight stay at teahouse in Kutumsang.

Day 17
Trek from Kutumsang to Chisapani (2,300 m/7,544 ft.) 5-6 hrs.

Today our day begins after having breakfast at teahouse. Our day starts descending through classical hills and delightful villages towards Gul Bhanjyang. Giving continuity to our walk, we enjoy the panoramic views of Himalayas and descend through the ridges, beautiful Rhododendron forests, towards the village of Thotundanda. From here we descend through a stone staircase to the teashops at Chipling and Thankune Bhanjyang. Then we trek down towards Pati Bhanjyang-unique settlements of Tamang and Chhetries where we spend our time for lunch. Thereafter we continue our trek gently climbing up through meadows and growing fields until we reach the small settlements of Tamang people at Chisapani. Overnight at teahouse in Chisapani.

Day 18
Trek from Chisapani to Sundarijal (1,929 m/6,329 ft.) 3-4 hrs. & drive to Kathmandu. 1 hr.

Today is the last day of our trek. Our day begins with the early breathtaking sunrise view over the snow-capped mountains where we can witness the panoramic views of mountains ranges including Mt. Gaurishankar, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lakpa, Annapurna and Langtang ranges. We start our day after having late breakfast in the teahouse. We slowly trek climbing towards the small village of Borlang which is close to Shivapuri hills. From here our walk descends through the forests, army barrack, towards the Tamang settlements of Mulkharka village. After a short hike, we reach upon Sundarijal where we had our lunch. After having a lunch we take a short drive which takes about 1 hour to reach Kathmandu. Overnight stay at star rated hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 19
Final Departure

Our adventurous journey ends today. Our representatives will easy transfer to you towards the International airport three hours before your flight schedule with a warm greetings and hospitality hopping you to see next time in Nepal.

Permit & Entry Fees:

It is compulsory to pay Everest National Park entry fee and TIMS card to trek in this area.

Medical Support:

An emergency first aid kit is carried by the support staff at all times.

Accommodation and meals:

During tea house treks our guests pay for their food (breakfast/lunch/dinner) at the lodge while we provide guides/accommodation/necessary permit and transportation. It can be USD $25 per person each day for food (Lunch/dinner/breakfast)


Mineral waters are available at all stops during tea house treks. You can also use tap water if you choose to use water purification tablets.

Travel Insurance:

Travel Insurance is mandatory for all clients who choose to trek or climb with us. The insurance should cover you in case of emergencies like accidents, altitude sickness and ambulance and helicopter rescue charges if required. Please carry a copy of your insurance papers while travelling in Nepal and do send us a copy as well. This will help us in making all the necessary arrangements in case of any sort of emergencies.
