Dolpa is the largest district of Nepal. It covers an area of 7889 sq.km. This district is most populated district of Nepal. The topography of this district is very interesting.  Dolpa is one of most interesting trekking destination of Nepal. Nowadays, people with many reason treks over Dolpa circuit. Dolpa has the deepest lake ‘Phoksundo’. Phoksundo Lake is the lake situated in the high altitude of the world. It is district is behind the Himalayan Mountains so which it gets little rain. The area covered by high hills makes most inhospitable in Nepal, the majestic hills lend a rare beauty that is absolutely amazing. People migrate in this area due to harsh living conditions.  People living here are more cultural. They have isolated culture. People wear jewellery and attire. This is an area where still people revolve around horses, yaks and mules. Much of Dolpa is restricted area for tourists. It contributes Dolpa to preserve of unique culture of Dolpa.

Dho Tarap is a human settlement at the highest altitude of the world. Gumba Shey is a most important Gumba of Nepal. Phoksundo Lake the deepest lake, these all is the major attraction of the route. The best time to visit Dolpa is March to May, June and July may rain which makes way slippery. September is a month of snowing.
