One can get the local permit at khumbu region in Monjo. You should pay US $20. You also can get it at Tourism Board at Kathmandu even.

Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit

Mt. Everest lies inside the National Park of Solukhumbu. Thus, Trekkers needs to get the necessary park entry permit to enetr Sagarmatha National Park. You should show those permit cards in the checkpoint of Monjo. There are away few checkpoints on the way where you need to show your permits. If you are travelling through the trekking agency, they will manage all the permits of yours. The permit price for Sagarmatha National Park is US $34/ person.

You can get permits in both Kathmandu and Monjo. Price reasonable is also same on both places.
